A large-scale pottery fair held every spring and autumn since 1966, representative of Mashiko Town in Tochigi Prefecture. Traditional Mashiko-yaki pottery, everyday items such as cups and plates, art pieces, and various ceramic works by local organizations, shops, and individual artists are sold at about 50 stores throughout the town and at tent villages with over 700 tents in total. Sweets, bread, and other gourmet foods, local agricultural products and specialty goods, antiques, and sundries are also on sale, along with original Mashiko Pottery Fair merchandise.
