It is called Shirogayama Park because a warlord built a castle there about 700 years ago. With the streets of Yatsuo spreading below, from the observation deck you can have a panoramic view of the Tateyama Range, Toyama Plain, and Toyama Bay, making it a relaxation place for Yatsuo townspeople and a park where nature can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons. In spring, about 1,000 cherries bloom in full glory, and being selected as one of Toyama's Top 70 Cherry Blossom Spots, it is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot visited by many viewers.
