The Ishido Hikiyama Festival, held every April 29 in Ishido, which flourished as a key post town on the old Hokuriku Highway. With as many as 11 magnificent flower-decorated Hanayama floats assembled, it is a rare sight even within the prefecture. At the lantern-lighting ceremony in the evening, the illuminated Hanayama floats are a special highlight. There is also a ride-on experience where visitors can board the stage of the hikiyama floats.
