The annual Oki Island Tug of War Tournament is held at Oki Shrine, where approximately 250 cherry trees bloom and draw many blossom-viewing visitors every year from early to mid-April. Under the cherry trees in full bloom, the strongest people from across the island gather for a spirited competition. This is a rare opportunity to watch a serious tug of war tournament. * Participation is limited to advance registrants from within Oki Island.
