Dr. Tomitaro Makino loved cherry blossoms so much that he said, 'The first plant our country can be proud of to the world is the cherry.' Inheriting the doctor's intention, Makino Botanical Garden plants about 40 varieties and over 200 cherry trees including wild species and horticultural varieties. At 'Sakura no Yoi', cherry blossoms such as Edohigan 'Beni-shidare' and other plants in season are lit up. Spend a special spring evening while enjoying not only the beauty of the flowers and trees floating in the night, but also music performances and workshops.
