Honjo Park is the castle ruins of Honjo Buzen-no-kami Mitsushige who built a castle using earthen ramparts and moats without stone walls, maintained as a historic site park during the Taisho era. During cherry blossom season, about 1,000 Yoshino cherries decorate the park. The typical peak time is around early to mid-April. From April 10 (Fri) to 19 (Sun), 2026, the Honjo Cherry Blossom Festival will be held (event period may vary depending on cherry blossom bloom status).
