The Kuroishi Cherry Blossom Festival is held at Higashi Park Sakura-yama, one of Kuroishi's famous cherry blossom spots. Starting with a safety prayer ceremony by the Kuroishi Shrine priest and cherry tree planting, the festival features a nursery school performance, a shooting gallery by the Kuroishi Chamber of Commerce Junior Division, a song-and-dance show by AOMORI Hanarashi Sakura-gumi, Yosakoi dance by teams from inside and outside Aomori, a Tsugaru folk song show, and a Y-ROCK Sakura Live. Food and drinks and outdoor dining are also available (please follow fire safety rules).
