From late March to early April, the Sagano Romantic Train provides views of cherry blossoms in full bloom and fresh greenery through its windows, offering beautiful spring scenery. The train runs about 7.3 kilometers in 25 minutes from the tourist area Saga-Arashiyama to Kameoka, with the appeal of enjoying both the Hozugawa river valley's beauty and stunning cherry blossom views. Especially in the section called the 'Cherry Tunnel' just before Torokko Kameoka Station, cherry blossoms in full bloom bloom along the line, providing a fantastic experience as if passing through a cherry blossom tunnel. Same-day tickets are sold, but during cherry blossom season they sell out quickly, so advance reservation on the official website is recommended. Additionally, during the 'Spring Light-up & Illumination' from March 20 (Holiday) to April 12 (Sun), 2026, you can enjoy night cherry blossoms. Extra trains will run in the 5 PM hour during the period, and extra trains in the 6 PM hour will also run from March 27 (Fri) to April 5 (Sun).
