A large waterfall on the Egawa River, 65m wide and 20m high, with a legend that a great serpent lives there, which is the origin of its name. The area around the falls is well-maintained with walking paths, and visitors can enjoy nature and history together with Taiheiji Temple. At Takimizube Park on the right bank of the falls, Yoshino cherry trees bloom in spring, vividly coloring the beautiful waterfall. Barbecuing is prohibited, but with grass lawns and tables provided, it is ideal for picnics. Note that some areas become muddy from the falls' spray.
