Zeze Castle, located on land jutting out just south of the west end of Omi Bridge, was the first castle that Tokugawa Ieyasu had Todo Takatora, said to be a master of castle building, build after the Battle of Sekigahara. Currently, the main bailey ruins are developed as Zeze Castle Ruins Park, becoming a spot where many hanami visitors come in spring as a famous cherry blossom spot.
