At Maizuru Castle Park in the city center, about a 3-minute walk from Kofu Station, more than 150 cherry trees are planted, allowing you to enjoy cherry blossoms blooming alongside the atmosphere of castle ruins such as old stone walls and moats. Night cherry blossoms illuminated by moonlight are also recommended. Additionally, from around mid-April after Somei Yoshino has scattered, Taihaku cherries with characteristic abundant white petals begin to bloom in the historic park, so enjoy both varieties.
