This exhibition commemorates the 150th anniversary of Kimura Takeyama's birth, introducing about 60 masterpieces, including representative works, rarely exhibited pieces, and works whose whereabouts were previously unknown, in two periods (first and second half). The exhibition reconsiders the significance of Buddhist paintings for Takeyama and specially opens the zushi (miniature shrine) of Kasama Dainichido, the culmination of Takeyama's art.
