Atagoyama has about 20 varieties and 2,000 cherry trees. From late March, Yoshino cherry and mountain cherry bloom, and until late April you can enjoy peony cherries. Also, due to Atagoyama's altitude difference, cherry blossoms bloom from the foot up the mountain toward the summit. Yoshino cherry is at its peak around late March, and peony cherry can be enjoyed in mid-April.
