At Kumamoto Castle, where recovery is progressing from the Kumamoto Earthquake, you can see about 550 cherry trees in the Sakura no Baba Josaien and around the Ninomaru Plaza every year from late March to early April. The 'Spring Kumamoto Castle Festival' will be held on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from March 7 (Sat) to 22 (Sun), 2026, with various events such as warlord squad performances, iai sword cutting demonstrations, and taiko drum performances.
