A service honoring the virtues and offering gratitude to Saint Shoko of Chinsei, who founded Zendoji. A service to give thanks to the kindness of 'Saint Shoko', the founder of Zendoji. Jodo sect temples throughout Kyushu unite, welcoming group worshippers from various places for the solemn ritual. A garden ritual (Odori - descent) is held where the statue of Saint Shoko is carried by mikoshi from the main hall through the approach to the Yakushido, and before and after, a brilliant procession of music, children, and monks enlivens the scene in the old style. On the 2nd day, Saint Shoko, who stayed overnight at the Yakushido, returns to the main hall (Onobori - ascent). The 3rd day includes the Yoshimizu-ko Zendoji Headquarters' singing dedication ceremony, etc.
