Around Obishi Kannon, over 50 cherry trees including yaezakura, Somei-yoshino, and shidare-zakura grow in the area. The yaezakura blooms around mid to late April, including a few 'ukon-zakura' trees with distinctively greenish flowers. The 'Shiawase Kiigan' (Prayer Rock) pilgrimage visiting four unusual rock formations in the area — Obishi Kannon, Ganzemon, Tateiwa, and Iwaya Gongen — has long been said to bring blessings for marital harmony, family peace, prosperity, and longevity.
