Long ago, it was called 'Kinkoen' because Nakaumi was called 'Kinkai' (brocade sea). In recent years, it has been developed as a new urban park, with a Japanese garden, cherry garden, observation hill, and free plaza established. The 'tide-stop pine' as a vestige of the former coast and the ruins of Seido-ji Temple, associated with successive Yonago castle lords, still remain, and it continues to be loved as a citizens' place of relaxation today. In spring, about 500 Somei Yoshino bloom, attracting many people to this hanami spot.
