Lake Shusenki stretches along National Route 341. In May, snowmelt water is released downstream for rice paddies. The resulting change in water levels creates the 'submerged forest.' Trees that are normally submerged in the cobalt-blue lake sprout new leaves on the water surface, creating a mystical landscape. Large-scale construction is planned at Yoroihata Power Plant from March 2027 to January 2032. During this period, the submerged forest scenery will not be visible due to changes in water storage levels—so this year is your chance!
