A single cherry tree in the middle of the school yard at Ajimano Elementary School. The Edo higan cherry, which blooms as if warmly watching over the children playing energetically, is a natural monument of Echizen City with an estimated tree age of 150 years. It has been loved as a symbol of this area by residents since long ago, and is now nationally known and a famous spot. *Please note that the cherry blossom viewing period coincides with school days.
