Miyajidake Shrine has been enshrined for about 1,800 years as the head shrine of Miyajidake Shrines across the country, and many worshippers visit from various places as a god of good fortune who overcomes anything. It is one of Fukuoka's leading cherry blossom spots, with about 3,000 trees planted including Okan-zakura, Kanhi-zakura, Kawazu-zakura, Somei Yoshino, Yae-zakura, and Yamazakura. From the "Kaiun-zakura" that begins blooming in January to the Yae-zakura that adds the final touch, you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing for a long period. A "Cherry Blossom Festival" is also held according to the best viewing season.
