A cherry tree-lined road that resembles a pink tunnel extends 5 km from Kaga (Sawa) to Nonami. The number of cherry trees is about 700. You can also overlook the sea, and the contrast between the sea and cherries is overwhelming. On clear days, you can clearly see the distant Oki Islands - this cherry spot was selected as one of the New Japan's 100 Roadside Tree Scenery. The Shimane Town Cherry Blossom Festival will be held at Marine Gate Shimane on April 4 (Sat), 2026.
