The traditional event 'Inuyama Festival', which has continued since the Edo period, will be held again during cherry blossom season this year. Registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, 13 three-tiered floats with heights of 8 meters parade through the castle town, performing karakuri puppet shows to the music of flutes and drums. At night, lanterns are lit on each float, and the sight of them weaving through the cherry blossom-lined Honmachi-dori in full bloom is gorgeous and splendid, leading you into a mysterious and ethereal world.
