Ashikaga Park is a district park at the southern end of the hilly area west of the central urban district. Since its opening, it has been famous as a spot for cherry blossoms and azaleas. The park contains 10 ancient tumuli (round mounds, keyhole-shaped mounds) and is beloved as a place of relaxation for citizens. In spring, it hosts the local cherry blossom festival and bustles with many visitors.
