An observation-style park developed across the two Saikai Bridges spanning Hario Strait, on the Hario-higashimachi side of Sasebo City and the Seihi-cho side of Saikai City, including the pedestrian section attached to the New Saikai Bridge. During the spring tide called 'Sekku-shio' on March 3rd of the lunar calendar, the difference between high and low tides becomes large, allowing visitors to see the beautiful contrast between the deep blue whirlpools and the pale pink cherry blossoms.
