A very popular nature zoological park, the only place in Kyushu where you can meet koalas. The large-scale renewal that began in 2009 has been completed, transforming it into a zoological park gentle to people and animals befitting tropical Kagoshima. About 800 cherry trees are planted within the park, and they bloom beautifully in spring.
