The Park of History and Culture Forest is the park that served as the main venue for the 1996 World Flame Exposition. The hill on which the Honoh-no-Hakurankai Memorial Hall stands is surrounded by a row of cherry trees, offering a spectacular view. The monument 'Kaen' (Flame Flower), the late Taro Okamoto's last work, located in the fountain plaza, stands as a symbol of the park with overwhelming presence.
