Held on the third Saturday and Sunday of April in the city center of Gujo Hachiman, with kagura performances from three shrines and mikoshi portable shrines parading through the streets. In the Tensho and Kanbun eras (1600s), three shrines were founded by the castle lord as prayers for military victory and guardians of the castle town. To the north of the Yoshida River flowing through the center of town stands 'Kishiken Shrine,' to the south 'Hiyoshi Shrine,' and to the east 'Hachiman Shrine.' Grand kagura processions from these three shrines parade through Hachiman Town and dedicate kagura performances.
