About 400 Yoshino cherry trees bloom all at once along approximately 2 kilometers of both banks of the Tamayugawa River flowing through the Tamatsukuri Onsen district, creating a continuous landscape of cherry blossom colors. At dusk, parts of the cherry-lined avenue along the Tamayugawa are illuminated with spotlights and paper lanterns, allowing visitors to enjoy a fantastical night cherry blossom viewing with the trees and lanterns reflected on the river.
