Said to be the place where Minamoto no Yoshiie composed the poem 'fukukaze wo nakoso no seki to omoedomo michi mo se ni chiru yamazakura kana', it has long been known as a famous cherry blossom spot. About 600 cherries including Yoshino, wild, and Oshima cherries bloom in full glory. Within the park stands an equestrian statue of Yoshiie, and there is also the City Nakoso Seki Literary History Hall introducing the world of poetry and history related to Nakoso Seki Ruins. There is the experiential learning facility 'Fukikazedono' designed in shinden-zukuri style imagining a Heian-era noble's residence, and the garden can be freely strolled. The building is freely opened when there are no reservations.
