Adjacent to Toyanogata is a park divided into 3 areas. Onaike District where Niigata Prefectural Library is located, and Shumoku District on the opposite shore. Both districts combined have 1,000 cherry trees that delight people's eyes. Adjacent to Shumoku District, there are also cherry trees at the sports park (separate management) where Big Swan Stadium is located, and along Toyanogata, totaling 2,000 cherry trees in all. The park has weeping cherries and double-flowered cherries in addition to Yoshino cherries.
