An exhibition focusing on fighting Buddhist statues such as wrathful deity statues and wisdom king statues that show angry expressions, from the perspective of 'What are armed Buddhist statues with glaring eyes fighting and protecting?' The exhibition features the Important Cultural Property 'Twelve Divine Generals Standing Statues' (formerly owned by Joruri-ji Temple), a Chinese Tang dynasty divine general figurine exhibited for the first time in 17 years, a newly unveiled zushi shrine depicting Fudo Myoo and Aizen Myoo, and a single-block carved Twelve Divine Generals statue. It also introduces what role fighting Buddhist statues played in faith.
