The land of Gifu played an important role as Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu each formed unified power. Nobunaga, who based himself in Mino for about ten years, fell at the Honnoji Incident, and Hideyoshi, who grasped the opportunity for rise with Mino as one of his bases, began his march to become ruler of the realm. This collaborative special exhibition introduces the state of Mino during the Toyotomi Hideyoshi era through the display of documents from the Shokuho period recently collected by the Gifu Prefectural Museum and materials held by the Gifu Prefectural Historical Archives.
