A park where many visitors come in and out year-round as a citizens' rest area and tourist destination. You can view the Shimonoseki cityscape, the islands floating in the Hibiki Sea, the Kanmon Bridge, Ganryujima, as well as the cityscape of Mojiko on the opposite shore all the way to Kokura. Usually, the cherry blossom viewing peak comes from late March to early April, with about 1,000 cherry trees including Yoshino and mountain cherries blooming in profusion (※Due to construction, the tulip garden at the foot of the mountain is closed to visitors, but you can enjoy the cherry blossoms on the road to the summit).
