A famous cherry blossom spot in Agawa District, Kochi Prefecture. The Edohigan cherry tree, approximately 200 years old and also known as Ubahigan-zakura, is the Nakagoshi family's weeping cherry tree with a height of 15 meters and a base circumference of 4.5 meters. Every spring, pale pink flowers bloom in profusion all along its branches. The Nakagoshi family, headmen of Bessheda Village in Tosa, were once the resting place of Lord Fukao of the Sakawa domain, and planted cherry trees from the Ichikawa family, a famous cherry blossom spot.
