Planted within the residence of the Mizoguchi clan who owned Yokota during the Edo period, hence called 'Goten Cherry' (Palace Cherry), said to have been beloved by the master of the mansion. Known as an early-blooming cherry within Naganuma District, the sight of reddish, deep pink flowers covering the entire tree is overwhelming. This cherry is also said to have grown from seeds dropped from the Goshinji Cherry on the eastern hill (Fukushima Prefecture Designated Natural Monument).
