Cherry blossoms at Tsubosaka-dera Temple typically reach full bloom from late March to early April, blooming as if to envelop the entire grounds. Especially the sight of the three-storied pagoda and worship hall, designated National Important Cultural Properties, appearing to float within clouds of cherry blossoms is magnificent, and visitors call it the 'Temple of Cherry Clouds.' The figure of the great Buddha surrounded by cherry blossoms is also called the 'Cherry Blossom Daibutsu.' It has recently been attracting attention as a new cherry blossom spot in Nara Prefecture.
