At the plum grove of Kenrokuen Garden, which was created by collecting about 200 plum trees of about 20 varieties from all over the country, the plum blossoms reach their best viewing time. On the vast site of about 3,000 square meters, various varieties bloom proudly, including white plums such as Aojiku, Tamau me, and Koume, red plums such as Yae Kankobai and Michishirube, weeping plums, and Yae Karabai. During March, free early morning opening is implemented from 5:00, and you can enjoy an early morning stroll while viewing the colorful plum blossoms. Also, around late March, cherry blossoms begin to bloom, and you can view cherry blossoms together with plums.
