Sacred hot spring water is received from Yu Shrine (Ishi-Yakushi-sama) and sprinkled over people with green bamboo as the hot spring cart parades through town. Participants join in pulling the cart with vigorous Kiyari chants, praying for good fortune, thriving business, recovery from illness, and academic success, celebrating the arrival of spring.
