On September 10, 1956, strong winds caused a large-scale fire that burned down a wide area of Uozu city center. This exhibition displays rare photographs documenting the disaster, tracing the city scorched appearance and the process of its revival through community efforts, to pass on the memory of the disaster and the importance of disaster preparedness to future generations.
