Takkoku no Iwaya Bishamondo, with the entire grounds designated as a historic site, is the rock cave where Sakanoue no Tamuramaro enshrined Bishamonten, with an impressive red building. The magaibutsu (rock-cliff Buddha) on the rock face on the west side of Iwaya Bishamondo is famous as the northern limit magaibutsu, and you can confirm that even just the face of the existing great Buddha is carved at a height of 16.5 meters.
