'Kannongaike Citizen's Forest' is one of the 70 'Forests for Forest Bathing' recommended by Kagoshima Prefecture. As the thousand cherry trees reach their peak, it is a popular hanami spot visited by many tourists every year. Yoshino cherries and others are planted at the edge of Kannongaike, and the about 1,000 cherry blossoms blooming brilliantly in profusion are very beautiful.
