A festival boasting over 1,000 years of history, held at Himure Hachimangu Shrine every year on April 14 and 15. The evening festival on the 14th, also called the Torch Festival, is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan, where over 30 torches including a large one of over 10 meters are lit. On the 15th, taiko drums from each town parade into the shrine.
