An exhibition held to commemorate the 140th birth anniversary of Tsuguharu Foujita, a French painter born in Japan. From the collection of Tsuguharu Foujita works owned by the Karuizawa Yasuto Museum, the largest ever 200 works will be exhibited. In addition to the nude paintings with "milky white base," Foujita's oil paintings, motifs by period and their backgrounds, and themes such as girls he favored in his later years, Foujita is explored deeply across diverse themes. Also, "My Room in Paris," representative of his early works, and "Caricature: Crucifixion," where the tradition of religious painting and Foujita's sensibility are wonderfully harmonized, will be shown for the first time.
