Located in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, Matsue Joyama Park, which offers views of Matsue Castle (designated as a National Treasure in July 2015), is a famous cherry blossom spot selected among the "100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." The park has about 180 cherry trees, including Yoshino cherry, double-flowered cherry, and weeping cherry. During the blooming period, paper lanterns are lit and the cherry blossoms are illuminated, attracting many visitors who come to enjoy the night cherry blossoms every year.
