A cherry tree-lined row stretching about 2.2 km along the Asuwa River flowing through the center of Fukui City, beloved by citizens as a walking course full of water and greenery. The Asuwa River embankment (between Kida Bridge and Shinakari Bridge) is planted with about 600 cherry trees, said to be Japan's largest scale, also selected as one of 'Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots.' In the full-bloom spring, you can enjoy passing through a grand pink tunnel. From March 21 (Sat) to April 5 (Sun), 2026, the '41st Fukui Cherry Blossom Festival' will be held. Events planned include 'Fukui Ate Festival - Snacks, Sake, Sweets... Fukui's Delicious All Gathered!' from April 3 (Fri) to 5 (Sun), and 'Fukui Cherry Blossom Lantern Night' on April 4 (Sat) from 19:00 to 20:00.
