Nishiyama Koryuji Temple, the 10th sacred site of the Shikoku Betsugaku Nijū Reijō (twenty special pilgrimage temples), is known as the 'Maple Temple,' but in spring, weeping cherry and Somei Yoshino trees can be enjoyed along about 1 km of the approach. The weeping cherry is a natural monument of Saijo City, called Furuta's Weeping Cherry. Among them, a large tree about 7 meters tall and about 100 years old has an overwhelming presence.
