A Heian period historical theme park developed in 1993 (Heisei 5) on the occasion of filming the taiga drama 'Honoo Tatsu' based on the rise and fall of the Oshu Fujiwara clan. Throughout the seasons, cherry blossoms, azaleas, wisteria, hydrangeas, water lilies, bush clover, autumn leaves, and other flowers add color to the park. From early to mid April every year, about 250 cherry trees in the park bloom in unison, reaching their best viewing. Light-up events are also held during the wisteria and autumn leaves seasons (planned: wisteria from May 12 to 24, autumn leaves on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from October 16 to November 8).
