A tea market held every May in Higashisonogi Town, renowned as a tea-producing area. Many local tea farmers, tea wholesalers, and shops participate. A traditional market where you can enjoy filling bags with new tea highlights from each tea shop, great deals on new tea, and mingling with the vendors. During the event period, activities include live demonstrations of pan-fried tea (May 17) and hand-rolled tea (May 18), stage events, and children's 'Kata-nuki' (pattern punching), and more.
