A shrine said to have been founded in 1123 (Hoan 4) by Kamou Kazusa-no-Suke Toshikiyo. The nationally designated important cultural property 'Bronze Mirror with Autumn Grasses and Two Sparrows Pattern' is also preserved here. The largest giant tree in Japan, the 'Great Camphor Tree of Kamou,' stands within the precincts. After passing through the large red torii gate and heading along the stone-paved path to the precincts, the cherry blossoms on both sides are the highlight.
