The cherry trees at the Saitama Branch were planted when the branch opened in 2016. In April 2021 (Reiwa 3), marking the 150th anniversary of the Mint's founding and the 5th year of the branch's opening, the avenue was opened to the public. Named 'Sakura no Sanpo-michi' (Cherry Blossom Promenade) by staff vote. The main varieties are double-petal cherries including Kanzan, Fugenzon, Matsugae, Hitoe, and Ranran - 26 varieties, 107 trees.
